Las Palmas Beaches

The city of Las Palmas has four major beaches -

Playa de Las Canteras, Playa de Las Alcaravaneras, Playa de la Laja and Playa del Confital.

Playa de Las Canteras / Las Canteras Beach

Playa de Las Canteras or Las Canteras Beach is the largest beach in Las Palmas. It stretches some 3 kilometers along the west side of Isthmus of Guanarteme ( a stretch of land which connects the peninsula of La Isleta to the rest of the city). Paseo de Las Canteras, a busy pedestrian boulevard, runs parallel along the beach.

Playa de Las Alcaravaneras / Las Alcaravaneras Beach

Playa de Las Alcaravaneras or Las Alcaravaneras Beach is just over half a mile of fine, golden sand. It stretches along Isthmus of Guanarteme from the Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria up to the new marina breakwater of the city.
